Notice from National government offices

     

National government offices regarding water and wastewater utilities, MHLW, MLIT, MAFF, and MOE have requested local utilities to provide those who face difficulty in paying their bills due to the economic impact of COVID-19 temporarily with grace period or other generosities.

Request from Nagasaki Prefectural Government

     

Period of the nationwide state of emergency to prevent the further spread of COVID-19 disease has been terminated.

 

However, considering COVID-19 disease may propagate again, Nagasaki Prefecture Government would like to make a following request to everybody.

 

Everybody is asked to act as follows in Nagasaki Prefecture.

 

● All the residents of Nagasaki Prefecture are requested to refrain from travelling across prefectural borders. 

All the people who live outside of Nagasaki Prefecture are requested to refrain from visiting remote islands in Nagasaki Prefecture.

 

● Everybody is requested to practice the followings as new lifestyles. 

 

- Wear a mask if you must go outside, often disinfect your hands and fingers by washing with soap and water or applying an antiseptic solution

-Avoid close contact and/or talking face to face

-For shopping, make use of online purchase and electronic payment as much as possible

-For eating, buy takeout food and eat at home, use delivery service, sit side by side when you eat etc.

 

● Nagasaki Prefectural Facilities will be reopened after May 18, step by step, taking measures to prevent COVID-19 disease and avoiding “closed (poor ventilation)”, “crowded” and “close-contact” settings.

 

● If many occurrences of COVID-19 disease are observed, required measures will be taken once again.

Occurrence Status of COVID-19 in Nagasaki Prefecture (Costa Crociere)⑥

Nagasaki Prefectural Government announced as follows:

 

On May 4, a new infection was confirmed on the Costa Atlantica, a foreign cruise ship docked in Nagasaki. Some of the crew members of the ship have been under the health observation of the new coronavirus disease on the ship. One of those members was confirmed positive in the new test.

Important message in order to prevent the spread of COVID-19

The Japanese government has declared a nationwide state of emergency in an attempt to prevent the further spread of COVID-19.

 

An emergency declaration is an important announcement that is made when everyone’s life is at risk.

  

◎ Nagasaki Prefecture requests all residents of Nagasaki to do the following below.

 1)Avoid non-essential outings.                           

    What defines essential outings, things such as  

          Buying food, medication, daily necessities

          Attendance at work

          Going to a hospital, medical clinic

          Exercise and walking outside

   2)  Avoid move across prefectures to prevent the spread of disease.

              However this differs from a lockdown.

   3)  Avoid travelling to other islands of Nagasaki to prevent the pread     of disease.

   4)  Consider the following things when you work

            Work from home (telework)

    ・Have staggered work hour

    Cycle or walk to work instead of catching public  transport.

    ・Open windows for ventilation

    ・Do not gather in groups

             Avoid a close contact of conversations

 

    5) Nagasaki Prefectural schools will be closed from 22nd April to 6th May.

Occurrence Status of COVID-19 in Nagasaki Prefecture (Costa Crociere)⑤

     

(as of 18:30, on Saturday 25th April, 2020)

 

Nagasaki Prefecture has announced that on 24th and 25th April the COVID-19 infection test was conducted on the crew of the foreign ship ‘Costa Atlantica’ docked in Nagasaki City.

 

【Test results】

 24th April

― The test was conducted on 288 foreign ship crew members.

24th & 25th April 

― Fifty-seven crew members were confirmed positive.

  231 crew members were confirmed negative.

            

 Up until now all 623 crew members on the ship Costa Atlantica have been tested and in total of 148 were confirmed positive.

(as of 10:30, on Friday 24th April, 2020)

 

Nagasaki Prefecture has announced that on 23rd April the COVID-19 infection test was conducted on the crew of the foreign ship ‘Costa Atlantica’ docked in Nagasaki City.

 

【Test results】

 23rd April

 ― The test was conducted on 208 foreign ship crew members.

 

 24th April

 ― Forty-three crew members were confirmed positive.

   164 crew members were confirmed negative.

   One crew member needs retesting.

 

  So far, 335 out of 623 crew members have been tested and 91 have been confirmed positive.

Nagasaki Prefecture has announced that on 22nd April the COVID-19 test was conducted on the crew of the foreign ship ‘Costa Atlantica’ docked in Nagasaki City.

 

【Test results】

 22nd April ― The test was conducted on sixty-six foreign ship crew members.

 23rd April ― Fourteen crew members were confirmed positive.

Nagasaki Prefecture has announced on 22nd April that one of the 33 confirmed persons of COVID-19 in a foreign ship ‘Costa Atlantica’ docked in Nagasaki City was taken to a hospital designated for infectious diseases in Nagasaki City.
