We have a computer available for accessing to the internet and viewing CD-Roms. You can use it for studying, research and so on.

We have begun accepting applications for a speech contest in Japanese by foreigners !
A speech contest “Gaikoku-jin ni yoru nihongo benron taikai” will be held on 13 December, 2009
This contest was originally held to mark the 100 year anniversary of the city government but ended with the 20th contest last yeaｒ due to the contest’s popularity and the large number of requests we have received, we have decided to newly reopen the contest this year. It will be a great chance to exchange views and meet new people Please don’t miss it!

At: National Memorial Museum for Atomic Bomb Victims
Qualifications for participation:
- Your mother tongue is not Japanese.
- You were not taught Japanese language in elementary or junior high school.
The theme: On Japan, Peace, and International Exchange as seen by a Foreigner living in Japan.
Number of participants: Around 10 people
Prize: First prize (1 Recipient: 30000yen), Special Award (2 Recipients), Honorable Mention, etc.
To Apply:
1. Submit a written application form
2. Record your speech (the method is up to you)
3. Submit also a written copy of your speech
Please submit all applications by 10th November without fail.

Nagasaki Internatuional Festivel
We hold the biggest international annual festival in Nagasaki in October!!
You will be able to enjoy many kinds of folklore shows and enjoy delicious multinational food. If you still have never visited us, please come and have a go!

Classical Japanese Dance
“Nihon Buyo”
Let’s enjoy Nihon Buyo dance while wearing an informal kimono or “yukata”. It’s ok even if you don’t speak Japanese well. The instructor will teach you slowly and carefully. So please feel free to come and enjoy yourself!
Free admittance (We lend Yukata to you without charge.)

Japanese Culture Experience Class
