A speech contest gGaikoku-jin ni yoru nihongo benron taikaih will be held on 13 December, 2009
This contest was originally held to mark the 100 year anniversary of the city government but ended with the 20th contest last yea‚’ due to the contestfs popularity and the large number of requests we have received, we have decided to newly reopen the contest this year. It will be a great chance to exchange views and meet new people@Please donft miss it!

At: National Memorial Museum for Atomic Bomb Victims
Qualifications for participation:

  1. Your mother tongue is not Japanese.
  2. You were not taught Japanese language in elementary or junior high school.

The theme: On Japan, Peace, and International Exchange as seen by a Foreigner living in Japan.
Number of participants: Around 10 people
Prize: First prize (1 Recipient: 30000yen), Special Award (2 Recipients), Honorable Mention, etc.
To Apply:
1. Submit a written application form
2. Record your speech (the method is up to you)
3. Submit also a written copy of your speech
Please submit all applications by 10th November without fail.
